If you're looking for an exciting aquatic adventure that combines the magic of DreamWorks with the thrill of water slides and wave pools, then the DreamWorks Water Park at the American Dream Mall in New Jersey is the place to be. Having recently visited this thrilling attraction with my family, I'm here to share our experience and some tips to make the most of your visit. From avoiding crowds to indulging in water slides, we've got you covered!
Nestled within the colossal American Dream Mall, DreamWorks Water Park is America’s largest indoor water park. As soon as you step inside, you'll be transported into the world of DreamWorks animation. The park's vibrant and fun-filled atmosphere sets the stage for an unforgettable adventure.
Price
Let's start with the basics. Admission prices may seem a bit steep, starting at $69 during non-peak dates, and $79 during peak dates. But trust me, it's worth it at least once if you're in the area. We recommend going on a random weekday to avoid the crowds. If you live nearby or plan to visit multiple times, consider investing in a “season pass” starting at $169 for about 1.5 months. It's a great way to make the most of this fantastic water park, and it'll likely pay for itself after just a couple of visits.
Rides and Attractions
One of the highlights of our visit was the abundance of rides and attractions. The park boasts a wide variety of water slides, each offering a unique and exhilarating experience. The best part? We never had to wait more than 20 minutes for any of the rides, even on a weekday.
At the heart of the water park is the giant wave pool, a must-visit for every water park enthusiast. It's the perfect place to catch some waves, relax, or just float around on a lazy afternoon. And speaking of lazy rivers, there's one right next to the kids' section, complete with multiple slides and a play structure. It's a great spot for families with children of all ages.

For families, DreamWorks Water Park has all the amenities you need to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable visit. They provide lifejackets for added safety, and there are plenty of chairs scattered throughout the park for when you need a break or just want to soak up the sun.
Eli's personal favorites were the hot tubs, which can be found at multiple locations within the park. They are a perfect way to unwind and relax while the kids enjoy the rides and attractions.
Food
While the park does sell food, it's important to note that the prices can be on the high side. If you're budget-conscious or simply prefer more dining choices, you have the option to take a quick shower, get changed, and eat at the mall's food court or other restaurants. The park allows re-entry, so you won't miss out on any of the fun
Although the website states a no outside food policy, we had no problem bringing in a few snacks for Eli. The staff checked our bags and gave us the green light. This may be subject to change, so it's best to check the park's current policy before your visit.
Showers and Locker Rooms
DreamWorks Water Park also provides some convenient amenities to make your visit hassle-free. The bathrooms are clean and well-maintained, and they even offer shampoo and body wash, so you can freshen up before or after your water adventures. One thing to keep in mind is that the showers do not have any curtains or closures, which may seem unusual. However, it's likely a measure to discourage people from taking full-on showers without swimsuits, so be prepared to keep your bathing suit on while showering.
If you plan to bring additional items or want a secure place for your belongings, locker fees are $25 per day. This might be a worthwhile investment if you have valuables or simply want to enjoy the park without worrying about your personal items.
Bottom Line
Our visit to DreamWorks Water Park at the American Dream Mall was an absolute blast. From the thrilling rides and attractions to the family-friendly amenities and the DreamWorks-themed atmosphere, it's a water park that offers something for everyone. While admission prices and food costs might be a bit high, the overall experience and memories created are well worth it, especially if you take advantage of season passes and plan your visit on a quieter weekday.
So, whether you're a local looking for a summer escape or a visitor to the area, make sure to add DreamWorks Water Park to your list of must-visit destinations. It's a place where family fun and aquatic adventures come together, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Dive in and make a splash at this incredible water park!
