TGT Rating: 9.8/10

Nestled at the base of Beaver Creek, Park Hyatt Beaver Creek offers an unforgettable ski-in/ski-out experience with luxury accommodations, impeccable service, and thoughtful family-friendly amenities. We spent five nights here before Christmas, and from the moment we arrived, it was clear that this was a top-tier destination for both avid skiers and families looking for a winter retreat.

Arrival and First Impressions

Walking into the hotel, we were greeted by a cozy lobby featuring a row of fire (fake, but still charming) that immediately caught Eli’s attention. The check-in area is intimate, enhancing the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Behind the check-in desks, an expansive lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows provides breathtaking views of the slopes, reinforcing that this is a true ski-in/ski-out resort.

Spacious Accommodations with Thoughtful Touches

Our room was spacious and well-appointed, featuring a small terrace where we could enjoy fresh mountain air with a cup of coffee each morning. The large bathroom had his-and-her sinks and a bathtub, making it easy to unwind after a day on the slopes. The room also offered ample closet storage, which was a lifesaver given all the bulky winter clothing we brought.

A highlight for our family was the thoughtful setup provided by the hotel—a tent with a pretend-play s’mores set and a sleeping bag for Eli. He loved it so much that he even offered to sleep inside! While the room didn’t come with a microwave, the hotel provided one for $30 for the duration of our stay, which was helpful for heating up meals for our picky eater.

As an added bonus, each floor comes with a laundry room! Having a laundry room came in super handy to wash our swim suits after spending the evening at the hot tubs. The laundry room has all the essentials like laundry detergents and dryer sheets for purchase and we had no issue finding an empty machine during our stay.

Throughout our stay, the guest relations manager checked in on us via text, ensuring that we had everything we needed. This level of attentiveness made us feel truly pampered and reinforced the high level of service that defines Park Hyatt Beaver Creek.

Exceptional Dining and Service

Breakfast at the hotel was a daily highlight. The restaurant staff recognized us by name, making us feel like valued guests. The breakfast spread was among the best we’ve had at any hotel, featuring everything from pancakes, waffles, and sausages to an omelet station and a make-your-own juice bar.

The hotel is also directly connected to Beaver Creek Village, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. Some of our favorite meals were at Golden Eagle Inn, where we enjoyed fresh salads, and Dusty Boot Saloon, which served no-frills burgers and pasta.

One of Beaver Creek’s most charming traditions is the daily 3 PM chocolate chip cookie giveaway at the base of the slopes, right outside the hotel. If you’re staying here, don’t miss it—these warm, freshly baked cookies are the perfect post-ski treat!

Unparalleled Ski Convenience

One of the standout features of Park Hyatt Beaver Creek is its ski valet service, which eliminates the hassle of carrying equipment around the hotel. The ski valet is conveniently located right on the slopes, so you can seamlessly transition from the hotel to the mountain. Additionally, the boot valet ensures you start your day with warm, dry boots, adding an extra touch of comfort. Once geared up, it's just a 30-second walk to the gondola—talk about convenience!

Family-Friendly Activities and Events

Park Hyatt Beaver Creek goes above and beyond to create a festive atmosphere for families, especially during the holiday season. During our stay, the hotel hosted Santa story times and a s’mores bar in the afternoons, adding to the winter wonderland experience.

The Ultimate Après-Ski Experience

After a long day on the slopes, nothing beats relaxing in the hotel’s outdoor hot tubs. The property boasts five hot tubs of various sizes, ensuring that we never had an issue finding a spot. The pool, while heated, was a bit too chilly for us, so we spent most of our time soaking in the hot tubs under the starry sky.

Bottom Line:

This was our second ski trip—our first being at Smugglers’ Notch—and it was undoubtedly a more luxurious experience. From the convenience of the ski valet to the warm hospitality, Park Hyatt Beaver Creek exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend this resort to families looking for an upscale, stress-free ski vacation and will definitely be returning.

If you're planning a ski trip to Beaver Creek, Park Hyatt is well worth the splurge for the convenience, comfort, and exceptional service it offers. Whether you’re a seasoned skier or simply looking for a cozy winter retreat, this hotel delivers an unparalleled mountain experience.
