Family Photo Session in Florence

Ever come back home from a trip and realize that you don’t have one good family photo? That was me. I, of course, love taking in the moment when we are traveling, but I also love taking loads of pictures to remember every moment of my trip. However, the perils of being the family photographer is that I am often not in these pictures. So I made a decision that starting from this year, we will take new family photos in whatever new country we end up in.

I searched for a photographer that would capture our family with beautiful Florence as the backdrop on Instagram. I didn’t want any cheesy shots - I wanted this to be more natural, capturing real moments we are spending together as family. After few days of searching, I found the perfect photographer.

The photographer took us all over Florence and the hidden photo spots. It was like a photo session + a walking tour of the city. We booked the Florence Sunset session and it lasted about 3 hours. We were a bit worried as it started raining the night before and continued raining even when we met with the photographer. We considered canceling since it was our last day in Florence, but rain magically stopped as soon as we started doing some test shoots in the rain with umbrellas.

These pictures came out perfect and was everything I was looking for. If you’re contemplating a family photo session on your next trip, I highly highly recommend it!
